Chim Chim Scent Diffuser

Ryosuke Fukusada /Rui Pereira

Japanese designer Ryosuke Fukusada and Portuguese designer Rui Pereira joined forces to conceive the Chim Chim scent diffuser for HAY. Inspired by the idea of a miniature fireplace, Chim Chim combines a modern design with the ancient ritual of burning oils to create your favourite room fragrance. Made in porcelain in three different colours, it is ideal for using in bathrooms and other rooms in the home.

Ryosuke Fukusada /Rui Pereira

For the past six years, Portuguese designer Rui Pereira and Japanese designer Ryosuke Fukusada have collaborated on projects that tap into their respective cultures to engage users in new and unsuspected design experiences. The two met in Milan while working at the same design office, where they discovered that, despite their very different backgrounds, they share a common vision. In both their practices, the focus is on creating long-lasting products that can pass from generation to generation, encapsulating in the process experiences and feelings. When working together, they naturally exchange and mix their cultural heritages, explore the full potentialities of materials and manufacturing techniques, and, by making use of a sharp design language, ultimately deliver clear and relevant objects. For HAY, they have designed Chim Chim Scent Diffuser.
